ASTM A516 is the Standard Specification for Pressure Vessel Plates, Carbon Steel, for Moderate- and Lower-Temperature Service, widely used in welded pressure vessels where enhanced notch toughness is required.

 

ASTM A516 Grade 65 is a highly weldable carbon steel, making it an excellent material for pressure vessel and boiler manufacturing. Compared with Grades 55 and 60, Grade 65 provides higher yield strength and tensile strength, offering improved performance under demanding conditions.
