C24000 is a brass alloy, specifically classified as low brass due to its high zinc content (about 35%) and the remainder being primarily copper (around 65%). It falls under the UNS (Unified Numbering System) designation C24000 and is known for its good strength, corrosion resistance, and excellent cold working properties.
