This system provides benefits such as larger outlet spacing, reduced buried piping, and lower investment costs per unit area. However, it requires frequent movement of the hoses across the ground, which can be labor-intensive and result in less favorable working conditions for the operators.
Fixed Type
In a fixed-type system, all pipelines and water distribution facilities, including low-pressure pipeline networks, are buried underground. Water is directly supplied to the field furrow or border without the need for hose connections. This system typically features shorter field furrows and a higher density of fixed spiral steel pipes. It offers uniform irrigation, ease of management and operation, but it also requires a higher initial investment due to the extensive infrastructure needed for installation.
