Currently, the most widely applied production standards for SSAW (Spiral Submerged Arc Welding) pipes include API, ASTM, and BS standards. Common Standards for Manufacturing Spiral Welded Pipes
- API 5L Standard
The API 5L standard, issued by the American Petroleum Institute (API), is a critical benchmark for the oil and gas industry. This standard provides guidelines specifically for the production of steel pipes that are used in pipeline transportation systems for petroleum and natural gas.
