Pup joints are short sections of seamless steel pipes designed to adjust the height of tubing or casing strings and position downhole tools at precise depths. These essential components are available as tubing pup joints or casing pup joints, with material grades including J55, K55, N80, L80, and P110.
Specifications of Pup Joints
Tubing pup joints: Available in sizes ranging from 2⅜” to 4½”.
Casing pup joints: Available in sizes from 4½” to 13⅜”.
Thread options: 8RD, 10RD, BTC.
Standard lengths: 2 ft, 3 ft, 4 ft, 6 ft, 8 ft, 10 ft, and 12 ft (custom lengths available upon request).
End connections: Machined with interchangeable Pin & Box threads or other configurations. One end is equipped with a coupling, while the other is protected with a closed-end thread protector.
Weight consistency: The nominal weight of tubing pup joints matches tubing, and casing pup joints match casing pipes.
